Chapter 1: The Princess’s Journey.

Once upon a time, there was an old queen who had a beautiful daughter. When the princess came of age, she was promised to a prince from a distant kingdom. When the time came for her to leave, the queen prepared valuable gifts and a loyal maid to accompany her. She also gave the princess a magical handkerchief with three drops of her blood, saying, "With this, you will always have my protection."
During the journey, the maid became jealous of the princess’s beauty and royal status. One day, while |they were resting near a river|, the maid tricked the princess into switching clothes and riding the other’s horse. The princess, frightened and alone, obeyed, and the wicked maid threatened her if she revealed the truth.

Chapter 2: The Betrayal.

When they arrived at the prince’s castle, the false princess presented herself as the bride. The true princess, now dressed as a servant, was assigned to work as a goose girl for the king’s shepherd, Conrad. The treacherous maid ordered that Falada, the princess’s |horse, be taken away from her|, fearing he would reveal the truth. Upon hearing this, the true princess begged the horsekeeper to keep Falada nearby so she could see him every day.
Every morning, as she passed by the gate, the princess would whisper, "Oh, Falada, if only you knew…" And the horse would softly reply, "If your mother knew your fate, her heart would break in two."

Chapter 3: The Goose Girl’s Secret.

|While carefully tending the geese|, the princess would let down her long golden hair, which shimmered in the sunlight. Conrad, the goose boy, was enchanted by its beauty and tried to grab a few strands, but each time, she whispered a spell, |and the wind blew his hat away|, making him chase after it. This happened so often that Conrad complained to the king.
Curious, the king watched in secret and saw the magic for himself. He called the girl to his chambers and, with kindness, coaxed the truth from her. Finally, she revealed her story and showed the magical handkerchief as proof.

Chapter 4: Justice and Reunion.

|The king was very angry| and ordered that the false bride be questioned. She, believing herself safe, suggested that any woman who deceived the royal family should be sent far away. Then the king declared, "So it shall be done to you!"
The true princess was restored to her rightful place and was joyfully reunited with the prince. The false bride was sent to a distant land, where she learned to be a better person. Falada was honored, and the princess and the prince lived happily ever after, in love and harmony.
And so ends the tale of The Goose Girl, where truth and kindness triumphed over betrayal.
