Chapter 1: The Young Shepherd and His Boredom.

Once upon a time, in a small village surrounded by green hills, there lived a young shepherd named Peter. Every day, he had the same duty: to |take the sheep to the hills| and watch over them. While the other children played near the village, Peter spent long hours alone in the fields.
One sunny afternoon, Peter sat on a rock, watching the sheep graze. “This is so boring,” he muttered. “Nothing exciting ever happens here.” |He kicked a small stone and sighed|. He wished something, anything, would break the dull routine.
As he looked down at the village below, an idea struck him. “What if I make something exciting happen?” he thought with a mischievous grin. He knew that if a wolf ever attacked the flock, the villagers would rush to help him.

Chapter 2: The First Cry for Help.

Peter |stood up, took a deep breath|, and shouted at the top of his lungs, “Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is attacking the sheep!”
Hearing his desperate cries, the villagers grabbed their tools and ran up the hill to help. Men, women, and even children rushed to Peter’s side, ready to defend the flock.
But when they arrived, they saw no wolf—only |Peter laughing uncontrollably out loud|. “I fooled you all!” he said between giggles. Some villagers shook their heads in disappointment, while others scolded him for lying.
“Peter, this is no game,” an old man warned. “If you cry wolf when there is no danger, people won’t believe you when it’s real.”
But Peter just shrugged. “It was only a joke,” he said. As the villagers returned to their work, |Peter laughed to himself again|. “That was fun!” he thought.

Chapter 3: The Second Trick and Its Consequences.

A few days later, Peter found himself bored once again. Remembering how the villagers had come running before, he decided to repeat his prank.
Once more, he shouted, “Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is attacking the sheep!”
Again, the villagers rushed to his aid. Again, they found no wolf. |And again, Peter laughed at them|.
This time, the villagers were angry. “You are wasting our time!” one man shouted. “We have work to do!” a woman scolded.
An old woman shook her head. “One day, Peter, you will regret this,” she said. But Peter ignored their warnings. He felt clever, believing he had outsmarted the entire village.

Chapter 4: The Real Wolf Arrives.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Peter was tending the sheep when |he heard rustling in the bushes|. Suddenly, a real wolf emerged from the shadows, its |yellow eyes fixed on the flock|.
Panic surged through Peter. He jumped to his feet and screamed, “Wolf! Wolf! Please help! The wolf is attacking the sheep for real!”
But down in the village, the people ignored his cries. “It’s just another one of Peter’s lies,” they said. “Let him learn his lesson.”
Peter kept shouting, but no one came. |The wolf attacked the sheep|, scattering them in all directions. Peter tried to chase the beast away, but it was too late. When the wolf finally left, several sheep were missing, and others were badly injured.
|With tears in his eyes|, Peter returned to the village and confessed. “The wolf really came this time… but no one believed me,” he said sorrowfully.
An elder put a hand on his shoulder. “Lies destroy trust, Peter. Now you understand why honesty is important.”
From that day forward, Peter never told a lie again. He had learned the hard way that a liar will not be believed, even when he speaks the truth.
